Description:
Veeva Systems is seeking a Python Backend Engineer for their OpenData team in Lisbon, Portugal, with the option to work remotely.
The company is a pioneer in industry cloud, focusing on helping life sciences companies expedite therapy delivery to patients.
The role involves building a data stewardship platform to enhance OpenData curation workflows, collaborating with Product Managers and over 1,000 data stewards globally.
As a Full Stack Product Developer, you will work in an agile environment, developing features from concept to deployment and directly impacting users.
Responsibilities include developing key features for the data curation platform, contributing to architectural decisions, solving complex technical challenges with large datasets, analyzing feature requirements, and driving improvements in the development lifecycle.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 4+ years of full-stack web development experience.
A natural problem solver who excels at identifying issues, formulating hypotheses, and managing the process from concept to execution is required.
A very strong understanding of Python and its core libraries is essential, along with experience in at least one major Python framework such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
A very good understanding of data modeling and storage using SQL and/or NoSQL databases, specifically Postgres or MongoDB, is necessary.
Strong knowledge of software design patterns, including MVC, microservices, and Hexagonal/Onion architectures, is required.
