CloudLinux is a global remote-first company focused on delivering high volume, low-cost Linux infrastructure and security products.
The company is seeking Python Developers to join the CloudLinux OS team.
CloudLinux OS is the flagship product, running on over 50,000 production servers and powering more than 40 million websites.
The role involves backend development for CloudLinux projects using Python, with a requirement to cover code with unit-tests and/or functional tests.
Responsibilities include investigating issues reported by clients, partners, or the support team, and communicating with the 3rd level support team for consultations related to CloudLinux projects.
The developer will also write technical documentation for new features, optimize existing functionality, create new features, and review code written by colleagues using Gerrit.
The position offers fully remote work with flexible hours, allowing employees to plan their day and work from anywhere.

Requirements:

Candidates should have 4+ years of experience with Python.
A solid understanding of basic algorithms and data structures is required.
Experience in system programming for Linux OS is necessary.
Candidates must have experience with building RPM packages and Shell/bash scripting.
Experience with code review and researching performance optimization solutions for websites and web servers is essential.
Good knowledge of SQL and basic knowledge of Git is required.
Familiarity with Ansible, Vagrant, and Jenkins is expected.
Proficiency in English at an intermediate level is necessary.
It is a plus to have knowledge of C, PHP, Perl, or JavaScript.
Personal skills should include fast-learning, proactivity, strong self-motivation, and the ability to work independently and in a team.
