Remote Python Engineer

Description:

• DomainTools is seeking talented Python Engineers to join their backend team.
• The role involves researching, developing, and delivering cutting-edge code in near-real-time large volume data systems.
• The company aims to create a safe, secure, and open Internet by predicting, detecting, expanding, processing, delivering, and monitoring changes on the Internet.
• The position offers a developer-centric platform for continuous integration and deployment of security applications in a hybrid AWS environment.
• Engineers will work closely with small, highly collaborative Operations and Development teams to architect and deploy high-impact security solutions.
• The role includes providing technical leadership, promoting Dev-Ops culture, and demonstrating best practices such as observability, metrics, and security.
• The position is remote, available in the Philippines or Colombia, with working hours from 8 AM to 5 PM US Pacific Time.
• Compensation ranges from 115,000 to 192,000 PHP per month.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have at least 3 years of professional development experience using Python, GoLang, or equivalent.
• A minimum of 1 year of cloud infrastructure experience in AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes is required.
• Candidates should have at least 1 year of web-scale data engineering experience using data stores like OpenSearch, Postgres, CockroachDB, MySQL, Hive, or Spark.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience with Linux/Unix is necessary.
• Applicants should demonstrate a positive attitude, high initiative, and a history of good productivity that adds value.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality results are essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Candidates must have the ability to coordinate between teams and should be excited about the security space.
• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience, is a plus.
• Experience in the design, implementation, and/or maintenance of CICD and microservices is advantageous.
• Familiarity with data pipelines such as OpenSearch, Kafka, NATS, or Apache Airflow is a plus.
• Experience with data mining or machine learning techniques, text codec, encoding, and web protocols is beneficial.
• Development experience in Bash, Scala, C/C++, or Rust, as well as full stack development experience, is a plus.
