Description:
The Python Engineer will be responsible for developing Python 3 applications and maintaining Omilia’s Cloud services.
They will design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems.
The engineer will contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle and produce well-designed, testable, and efficient code.
Ensuring designs are compliant with specifications and preparing software component releases will be part of their responsibilities.
They will support continuous improvement by exploring alternative technologies and presenting them for architectural review.
The engineer will actively contribute as an integrated team member, meet regularly with the line manager, manage issue resolution, and escalate critical issues.
Collaboration with other teams, units, and departments, supporting organizational priorities, and acting as an Omilia ambassador are key aspects of the role.
Requirements:
The candidate must have at least 3 years of experience in Python development.
Proficiency in Django, FastAPI, or similar web frameworks is required.
Experience with REST APIs and JSON is necessary.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and upper-intermediate proficiency in English (both oral and written) are essential.
Nice to have:
Familiarity with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD.
Knowledge of AI and NLP technologies, speech-related technologies, and experience working within the Agile framework.
Understanding of secure-coding principles.
