Description:

Gorilla Logic is seeking a Mid level Backend Python Engineer for a remote position in Colombia or Costa Rica.
The role involves server-side web application logic and integration with front-end development, requiring strong programming skills and a passion for application development.
Responsibilities include participating in team coding standards, conducting peer code reviews, managing individual tasks, and acting as a technical contributor in discussions with stakeholders.
The engineer will clarify technical requirements, address ambiguous issues, escalate complex challenges, and contribute ideas to improve codebase quality and team workflows.

Requirements:

Proficiency in Python with experience in writing production-quality code is required.
A solid understanding and experience in building, maintaining, and interacting with web services, specifically REST APIs, is necessary.
Experience with web scraping and using headless browser automation tools is essential.
Familiarity with caching services like Redis and key-value stores is required.
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills are necessary.
Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, and Grafana is required.
Knowledge of asynchronous programming and unit testing with Pytest is necessary.
