Description:

• Ascend Analytics is seeking a Python Software Engineer to join their team in Boulder, Colorado, or work remotely within the U.S.

Requirements:

• BS or MS in Engineering, Computer Science, Data/Information Science, Physics, Operations Research, Statistics, Economics, or Power Systems.
• 1+ years of experience as a back-end software engineer.
• Proficiency in Python, Ruby, .NET, Java, C++, C#, Kotlin, Rust, or Javascript with object-oriented design.
• Familiarity with data processing in Python (Pandas, Numpy, Sympy, Scikit-Learn), full-stack applications, and RESTful web services.
• Exposure to cloud computing platforms (Azure, AWS) and containerization (Docker), data science, referential databases, and wholesale electricity markets.
• Strong communication skills, teamwork abilities, work ethic, and experience with code review and development processes.
