The position is for an R/Shiny Developer with a Life Science Background, and it is fully remote.

Requirements:

You must be proficient in R.
You should have experience in processing, analyzing, and visualizing biological data, particularly clinical data.
Experience with version control systems such as Git is required.
You need to have experience in building web applications or websites using R/Shiny or JavaScript.
You should have experience in creating and maintaining R packages.
Experience in requirements gathering and backlog management is necessary.
A Master’s degree in bioinformatics or a related discipline (e.g., computer science, data science, biostatistics, mathematics) or equivalent work experience is required.
You must have a valid passport (if based outside of Poland) or ID (if based in Poland).
You must be located in EMEA or LATAM.

Experience in designing and maintaining reproducible data processing pipelines (i.e., Nextflow).
Experience in applying data science approaches (data engineering, machine learning) to business problems.
Understanding of fundamental concepts in molecular biology and bioinformatics.
Experience using bioinformatics tools and databases (i.e., Bioconductor, BLAST, NCBI, EMBL, PDB, PubMed).
Ability to use advanced JavaScript to implement visually impressive applications.
Knowledge of advanced mechanisms of Shiny and the ability to use them effectively in practice.
Experience using cloud computing environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Experience with database management systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
Experience collaborating with scientists and clinical researchers.

The salary ranges from 7000 to 22,000 PLN/month + VAT on a B2B contract, equivalent to $1600 - $4900/month.
You will receive 26 days of paid holidays plus an equivalent of public holidays in Poland, estimated at 13 days in 2024.

You will have 33 days (paid 80%) per year on B2B for sick leave.
