Description:
The Real Estate Data Lead will support the acquisitions team in evaluating commercial real estate opportunities.
This is a hands-on role focused on market research, financial modeling, and investment analysis.
Responsibilities include sourcing deals, assessing potential investments, and preparing materials for internal decision-making.
The candidate will build relationships with brokers, property owners, and industry contacts to find new investment opportunities.
The role involves researching local market trends, rents, sales comps, and supply/demand to evaluate potential deals.
The candidate will use existing Excel models to evaluate cash flows, returns (IRR, equity multiple), and key metrics.
Support due diligence by collecting and reviewing property financials, leases, operating statements, and market data to validate assumptions.
Prepare investment memos by creating presentations and write-ups to summarize key deal points for the investment committee.
Coordinate with acquisition, asset management, legal, and finance teams to help move deals forward.
Keep detailed records of deals under review, broker contacts, market data, and deal performance.
Assist with research, strategy updates, and process improvements as needed.
Requirements:
Must have 1-3 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate, with prior exposure to CRE required.
Experience in multifamily apartments is ideal, but backgrounds in hospitality, office, condo, or other CRE sectors are acceptable.
Strong understanding of financial modeling concepts such as discounted cash flow (DCF), pro forma analysis, variance analysis, and return metrics.
Ability to navigate and utilize existing financial models is essential.
Strong analytical and research skills to evaluate market trends, property data, and financial performance to support investment decisions.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and ensure data accuracy are required.
The candidate should be comfortable in a hands-on analytical role with no management responsibilities.
Familiarity with the U.S. real estate market is a plus but not required.
Knowledge or familiarity in the real estate investment industry is beneficial.
Advanced financial modeling skills, including the ability to build models from scratch, are advantageous but not mandatory.
Experience in preparing investment memos and presenting findings to stakeholders is a nice-to-have.
Familiarity with industry-standard CRE tools and financial analysis software is preferred.
