Remote Refrigeration Application Engineer, CO2

Description:

• Energy Recovery, Inc. is seeking a talented Refrigeration Application Engineer to join the CO2 Business unit.
• This is a full-time remote position available within Spain.
• The role involves bridging the gap between external customers and internal teams, reporting directly to the Account Manager, CO2.
• The engineer will act as a key technical advisor and product advocate, collaborating closely with sales, R&D, manufacturing, and product management teams.
• Responsibilities include providing technical support to sales teams, OEMs, end-users, and internal departments.
• The engineer will evaluate customer needs and provide technical solutions that best fit the company’s portfolio.
• Active engagement with customers to gather and comprehend their needs and requirements is essential.
• The role includes supporting sales teams and clients on product technical details and application requirements.
• Accurate information and calculations related to each sales order must be provided.
• The engineer will support product development by communicating market trends and issues in the marketplace.
• They will serve as the first point of engineering contact for field and customer service personnel regarding product and application questions.
• The engineer will act as the technical interface between Energy Recovery product management and OEM product management teams.
• Support for OEM manufacturers in implementing Energy Recovery CO2 products into their product design and specifications is required.
• Providing technical expertise and guidance to resolve quality issues is also part of the role.
• Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements:

• A BS in Engineering or an applicable technical degree is required, along with a minimum of 7 years of direct experience in supermarket or industrial application or design.
• The candidate must have the ability to clearly present technical information to both internal and external customers.
• Extensive knowledge of commercial refrigeration systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of CO2 commercial/industrial systems is a bonus.
• A deep understanding of refrigerant properties and PH diagram analysis is necessary.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and some working knowledge of AutoCAD systems, are required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, with the ability to converse with key stakeholders, vendors, and customers.
