Description:

• We are looking for a Software Engineer to advance financial inclusion and digital transformation by adapting our platform to comply with local-market needs.
• On our team, you will be in the middle of it all - implementing new functionality, architecting our system, squashing bugs, maintaining the health of our code, and continually growing as an engineer.
• You will be involved in the entire product lifecycle, from ideation through building, testing, deploying, monitoring, and supporting mission-critical systems.

• Help translate product requirements into user stories and technical solutions.
• Deliver highly available and scalable services in a production environment.

• Write, test, and deploy efficient, scalable code to production that impacts millions of individuals.
• Communicate with project leads, product managers, and other software developers.
• Participate in code and design reviews.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 4 years of programming experience in Python is necessary.
• Hands-on experience with self-testing code (unit tests) and building systems is essential.
• An emerging ability to lead and influence a team's technical direction is required.
• Hands-on experience with database and cloud technologies is necessary.
• An emerging ability to design resilient software components within a distributed system is required.
• Familiarity with our core stack, which includes Python, migrating from system software in C, and legacy PHP in some places, is important.
• Experience with cloud technologies such as Kubernetes, AWS (EKS, Lambda, RDS, Aurora, Dynamo) is preferred.
