Description:

• The Credit Pros is seeking a Senior Backend Developer for a 100% full-time remote opportunity.
• The role involves designing and implementing backend services, APIs, and databases using PHP (Laravel) and Python, ensuring clean, scalable, and secure architecture.
• The developer will lead and manage the full lifecycle of backend systems, from concept and architecture to implementation and support.
• Responsibilities include building and documenting robust RESTful and GraphQL APIs, enforcing application security best practices, and collaborating with DevOps to ensure backend services are performant in AWS environments.
• The position requires managing CI/CD pipelines for backend deployments and participating in Agile ceremonies to define deliverables and sprint goals.
• The developer will serve as a mentor to other developers, enforce code review standards, and participate in architectural discussions.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 6+ years of experience in backend development roles.
• Advanced knowledge of PHP (Laravel) and Python is required.
• Expertise in REST/GraphQL API design and secure integration patterns is essential.
• Experience with application security, including vulnerability scanning and mitigation, is necessary.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, and data modeling principles is required.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and infrastructure-as-code tools is expected.
• Proficiency in AWS services and cloud cost optimization strategies is needed.
• A strong understanding of Agile methodologies, sprint planning, and estimation techniques is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) is necessary.
• Proven track record in backend leadership roles within agile software teams is essential.
