Description:
Metova is seeking a Sr. Backend Developer to join their engineering team in a remote, contract-to-hire position.
The role involves leading backend development for a media platform, ensuring a robust and scalable architecture.
Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, designing and maintaining APIs, microservices, and server-side logic using best practices.
The developer will optimize performance, scalability, and security of backend systems.
The position requires working closely with product teams to scope features, identify blockers, and ensure timely delivery for customers.
The candidate is expected to recommend frameworks and libraries to solve client issues and independently attempt to solve problems.
Continuous learning of new technologies, frameworks, and languages is encouraged as new projects arise.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience with Node.JS.
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience with Typescript.
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience with Docker.
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience with ECS.
Experience in creating and implementing architectural diagrams is required.
Candidates should have experience with system design and relational databases.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Experience with MikroORM or a similar ORM, multi-threaded systems, and microservice architecture is considered a plus.
