Description:

We are looking for a Software Engineer to advance financial inclusion and digital transformation by adapting our platform to comply with local-market needs.
The role involves implementing new functionality, architecting the system, squashing bugs, maintaining the health of the code, and continually growing as an engineer.
You will be involved in the entire product lifecycle, from ideation through building, testing, deploying, monitoring, and supporting mission-critical systems.
The position requires facing and solving a wide range of challenges: technical, product, and operational, which will shape your personal growth and career.
Responsibilities include translating product requirements into user stories and technical solutions, delivering highly available and scalable services in a production environment, mentoring other engineers, and supporting the technological culture.
You will write, test, and deploy efficient, scalable code to production that impacts millions of individuals, communicate with project leads, product managers, and other software developers, participate in code and design reviews, and become a domain expert in aspects of the payment processing industry.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
A minimum of 4 years of programming experience in Python is necessary.
Hands-on experience with self-testing code (unit tests) and building systems is essential.
An emerging ability to lead and influence a team's technical direction is required.
Hands-on experience with database and cloud technologies is necessary.
An emerging ability to design resilient software components within a distributed system is required.
Familiarity with the core stack, which includes Python, migrating from system software in C, and legacy PHP, is important, as well as experience with cloud technologies like Kubernetes and AWS (EKS/Lambda/RDS/Aurora/Dynamo).

This position offers a 6-month contract with a great possibility of extension.
