Description:
Blockworks is a financial media brand focused on delivering breaking news and premium insights about digital assets to millions of investors.
As a Research Data Analyst, you will create in-depth analytics and dashboards that track the health, profitability, and usership of various protocols and sectors.
You will build dashboards by writing queries against data sources and maintaining protocol dashboards covering L1s, L2s, and popular applications.
Collaboration with protocol teams is essential, as you will provide data collection and analysis based on their needs.
You will actively seek out the best data sources and be open to constant experimentation.
You will assist in developing new frameworks that set the bar for crypto investors and builders, focusing on blockchain value accrual and financial models.
Continuous learning and sharing knowledge with the broader Research and Advisory teams is expected.
Comfortability with experimentation and being uncomfortable is a must.
Requirements:
A passion for crypto and a strong curiosity about how blockchains work is essential.
Experience using on-chain applications and working with SQL in data analytics tools like Dune or Flipside is required.
Understanding of smart contracts on EVM chains and familiarity with other frameworks like SVM, MoveVM, and CosmWasm is necessary.
Proficiency in navigating block explorers across various environments is expected.
Experience in a data-heavy role or as a research analyst in crypto, TradFi, or consulting is preferred, especially with SQL, dbt, or Python.
Familiarity with cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery is welcomed.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to write long-form research clearly and cohesively, are crucial.
