Description:
Blockworks is a financial media brand focused on delivering breaking news and premium insights about digital assets to millions of investors.
The Research Data Analyst will create in-depth analytics and dashboards to track the health, profitability, and usership of various protocols and sectors.
Responsibilities include building dashboards by writing queries against data sources, collaborating with protocol teams to provide custom data services, actively sourcing the best data, pioneering industry-leading frameworks, and continuously learning and sharing knowledge with the team.
The role requires a passion for crypto, experience with onchain applications, and proficiency in SQL and data analytics tools.
Candidates should understand smart contracts on EVM chains and be familiar with other frameworks like SVM, MoveVM, and CosmWasm.
Strong communication skills are essential, including the ability to write long-form research clearly and cohesively.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a passion for crypto and a curiosity to grow their knowledge of blockchain technology.
Experience using SQL to work with onchain data in tools like Dune or Flipside is required.
Understanding of smart contracts on EVM chains and familiarity with other blockchain frameworks is necessary.
Experience in a data-heavy role or as a research analyst in crypto, TradFi, or consulting is preferred, especially with SQL, dbt, or Python.
Familiarity with cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery is a plus.
Strong communication skills are required, including the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly to a broad audience.
