Description:

  • Jobgether is seeking a Research Data Analyst for a remote position based in California.
  • The role involves leading data collection, analysis, and reporting initiatives that drive institutional research, planning, and effectiveness.
  • The analyst will work closely with internal teams to translate complex datasets into actionable insights that align with organizational goals and improve student success metrics.
  • Responsibilities include collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to student success, enrollment, retention, curriculum, and institutional effectiveness.
  • The analyst will design and manage structured research projects using statistical and analytical tools such as R, SAS, and SPSS.
  • The position requires creating visualizations, dashboards, and reports to communicate findings to various stakeholders.
  • The analyst will support planning, accreditation, and grant-related initiatives with data analysis and policy recommendations.
  • Collaboration across departments is essential to support program evaluation, decision-making, and continuous improvement.
  • The role includes developing surveys, conducting structured interviews and focus groups, and performing literature and policy reviews.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of institutional and external data systems is crucial to ensure data quality and integrity.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Public Policy, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working with higher education data and research tools is necessary.
  • Strong proficiency in data visualization and statistical analysis tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, SAS, SPSS, and R is essential.
  • Experience querying and analyzing structured data from relational databases using SQL or similar languages is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary, with the ability to translate complex data for non-technical audiences.
  • The candidate must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Desired qualifications include experience with Qualtrics, Salesforce, LMS, predictive analytics, and programming languages like Python.
