Jobgether is seeking a Research Data Analyst for a remote position based in California.
The role involves leading data collection, analysis, and reporting initiatives that drive institutional research, planning, and effectiveness.
The analyst will work closely with internal teams to translate complex datasets into actionable insights that align with organizational goals and improve student success metrics.
Responsibilities include collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to student success, enrollment, retention, curriculum, and institutional effectiveness.
The analyst will design and manage structured research projects using statistical and analytical tools such as R, SAS, and SPSS.
The position requires creating visualizations, dashboards, and reports to communicate findings to various stakeholders.
The analyst will support planning, accreditation, and grant-related initiatives with data analysis and policy recommendations.
Collaboration across departments is essential to support program evaluation, decision-making, and continuous improvement.
The role includes developing surveys, conducting structured interviews and focus groups, and performing literature and policy reviews.
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of institutional and external data systems is crucial to ensure data quality and integrity.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Public Policy, Economics, or a related field is required.
A minimum of 2 years of experience working with higher education data and research tools is necessary.
Strong proficiency in data visualization and statistical analysis tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, SAS, SPSS, and R is essential.
Experience querying and analyzing structured data from relational databases using SQL or similar languages is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary, with the ability to translate complex data for non-technical audiences.
The candidate must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines and work both independently and collaboratively.
Desired qualifications include experience with Qualtrics, Salesforce, LMS, predictive analytics, and programming languages like Python.
