Description:
Swan is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join their team, focusing on robotics systems.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in programming with C++ and Python, and substantial experience working with sensor data.
Experience in aerial systems, particularly UAV/UAS, is strongly preferred.
The role involves designing, developing, and implementing software systems for robotics applications, including navigation and aerial robotics systems.
Responsibilities include writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code, integrating and calibrating various sensors, and processing sensor data for real-time decision-making.
The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to understand requirements and conduct tests.
The position requires optimizing system performance and troubleshooting system issues.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in robotics software development.
Proficiency in C++ and Python is essential, along with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design patterns.
Extensive experience with sensor data processing, including calibration, filtering, and fusion techniques, is necessary.
Familiarity with robotics frameworks such as ROS (Robot Operating System) is required.
Knowledge of algorithms for SLAM, path planning, and computer vision is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential.
Excellent communication and documentation skills are required.
