Description:
- Join Bit Zesty team as a full-time, permanent Ruby on Rails Developer based in the UK
- Collaborate with a skilled team to develop high-quality, scalable software products for clients
- Work closely with Project Managers, UX Designers, and Technical Director on maintenance and new development of applications
- Responsible for writing efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code
- Identify and solve performance issues and bugs
- Conduct regular Ruby on Rails version upgrades
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of writing excellent software
- Translate wireframes/mockups and user stories into functional systems
Requirements:
- Experienced Ruby on Rails Developer with exposure to multiple applications
- Comfortable working on existing codebases and live applications for ongoing maintenance
- Proficient in SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB/ElasticSearch)
- Interest in learning new technologies like Elixir and React Native
- Ability to work on multiple projects and switch between them as needed
- Strong attention to detail and previous agency experience is advantageous
- Ideally hold a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
