Remote Ruby on Rails Engineer

Description:

• Join our team as a Full Stack Engineer, where you'll play a key role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to enhance features, create new ones, and ensure a scalable and secure architecture.
• Build scalable, high-quality web applications using Ruby on Rails.
• Work with cross-functional teams to design and develop new features for web and mobile platforms.
• Maintain and optimize the frontend with JavaScript frameworks like Turbo and/or Stimulus.
• Work on integration of third-party services such as Twilio, SendGrid, and Stripe.
• Ensure the application’s infrastructure on Heroku and AWS is stable, secure, and scalable to meet growing demand.
• Contribute to managing AWS Aurora for MySQL databases, ensuring efficient, reliable access to data.
• Develop and maintain code quality and security standards, using tools like Brakeman and Dependabot.

Requirements:

• You must have 2+ years as a Full Stack Engineer with Ruby on Rails expertise.
• Proficiency in JavaScript (jQuery, Stimulus) is required.
• You should have experience in database management, particularly MySQL or AWS.
• Hands-on experience with Heroku, AWS services, and infrastructure as code (Terraform) is necessary.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing suites, and GitHub workflows is essential.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as a team are required.
• Strong attention to detail in maintaining code quality and security standards is a must.
