Description:

Azumo is seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Ruby on Rails (RoR).
The position is remote and based in Latin America, requiring the developer to work in the EST/PST time-zone.
The role involves collaborating with bright engineering minds in SaaS and big data computing.
As a key engineer in the web team, the candidate should excel with minimal technical supervision, embrace time constraints, and work with team members to deliver high-quality products and features.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, and testing server features and robust APIs, integrating existing applications with third-party systems, and evaluating multiple approaches and technologies to solve problems.

Requirements:

A BS or Master’s degree in Computer Science, a related degree, or equivalent experience is required.
The candidate must have 3+ years of experience with backend development in Ruby on Rails.
A minimum of 1 year of experience with virtual-dom based frontend technologies such as React or Vue.js is necessary.
Deep expertise with Linux and hosted cloud environments (Heroku, AWS, App Engine, or others) is required.
Practical experience with open source technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases, is essential.
Experience integrating solutions with third-party APIs (RESTful, OAuth, JSON) is needed.
The candidate should be self-driven and motivated, with a strong work ethic and a passion for problem-solving.
Preferred qualifications include a love for coding, a willingness to be agile, and a hacker spirit within a collaborative team.

The Ruby on Rails Engineer will be based remotely.
