Description:

  • LiveKit is seeking a Rust Client Engineer to join their team remotely in a full-time capacity.
  • The role involves co-owning LiveKit’s Rust Client SDK and building core capabilities across various mobile and native platforms, including iOS, Android, Mac, Linux, and Windows.
  • Responsibilities include designing and developing end-to-end client features, creating example apps that demonstrate platform functionality, and developing sensible abstractions that encourage code reuse and minimize repetition.
  • The ideal candidate will thrive in an environment that values fast, reliable, and practical code, and will be recognized as a go-to person for tackling tough technical problems.
  • Candidates should be able to clearly explain complex technical concepts and be fast learners who frequently pick up new languages and tools.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must be experts in Rust programming.
  • Experience with C/C++ is required.
  • Familiarity with WebRTC is necessary.
  • Candidates should be comfortable with build systems and able to troubleshoot compile/link issues.
  • Bonus points for being a polyglot with experience in building applications for iOS and Android.
