Remote Rust Engineer

Description:

• SwissBorg is seeking a talented and experienced Backend Rust Engineer to enhance their DeFi capabilities.
• The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining backend services for integration between the trading system and various decentralized exchanges (DEXes) on the Solana blockchain using Rust.
• Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, optimizing existing systems for scalability and performance, participating in code reviews, and maintaining high standards of code quality and reliability.
• The candidate will also need to stay updated with emerging technologies and advancements in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space.

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Rust programming and a solid understanding of its ecosystems is required.
• Experience with blockchain technology, particularly with the Solana blockchain, is a strong plus.
• Candidates should have experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud-native technologies.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in English are necessary.
• An understanding of decentralized exchanges (DEX) and their offerings compared to traditional financial systems is important.
• An interest in cryptocurrencies and the broader digital assets market is expected.
• Previous experience in developing DeFi applications is preferred.
• Familiarity with other programming languages such as Scala or Python is advantageous.
