Description:

  • Simbian is a rapidly growing cybersecurity start-up that utilizes generative AI agents to accelerate tasks across security operations and change people's perceptions of cybersecurity.
  • As a Sales Engineer, you will be the face of Simbian to prospective clients, leading technical relationships throughout the sales cycle in collaboration with the management and sales teams.
  • You are expected to leverage your professional network and experience to identify opportunities where Simbian can help new clients solve their challenges.
  • You will build and grow relationships with customers who are implementing and expanding the use of Simbian, providing feedback to the product management team.
  • You will serve as a trusted advisor by providing technical expertise in interactions with current and future clients, answering technical questions, demonstrating capabilities, and explaining Simbian's current and future vision.
  • You will work closely with sales, leadership, marketing, support, customer success, and engineering teams to drive deals through the sales pipeline and report regional trends to leaders and product management.
  • Additionally, you will advise on new use cases, integrations, and partnerships, playing a crucial role in defining and executing the company's market development strategy.

Requirements:

  • You are a proactive individual who takes full responsibility for problems and drives them to completion while leveraging company resources as needed.
  • You possess a strong passion for serving clients as a top priority, along with comprehensive technical, analytical, and sales skills.
  • You have the flexibility and capability to work in a rapidly changing, highly distributed company across global time zones.
  • You must be fluent and professional in both Japanese and English.
  • You need general knowledge and experience with one or more generative AI systems (such as OpenAI/ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Co-Pilot), with broader experience being preferable.
  • You should have experience collaborating with clients on cybersecurity challenges using a consultative approach, guiding them towards new technologies or processes they may not have previously considered.
  • Sales experience in one or more areas such as security operations, log management, application security, or security compliance is required, with broader experience being preferable.
  • You should have a proven track record of selling emerging technologies in newly formed markets and the ability to help clients identify opportunities to create budgets through cost savings.
