Description:
Open Philanthropy is seeking a Salesforce Solution Architect and Senior Administrator to work remotely on a full-time basis.
The role involves designing and building complex Salesforce solutions, demonstrating expert understanding of platform capabilities and limitations.
The candidate will make informed decisions on solution trade-offs, considering scalability, maintainability, and user experience.
Responsibilities include developing custom solutions using Apex, SOQL, and potentially Lightning Web Components and Visualforce.
The candidate will lead requirements-gathering sessions with stakeholders and users, translating business needs into technical specifications.
Collaboration with business analysts and other Salesforce team members to refine and implement solutions is essential.
The role includes implementing and advocating for DevOps best practices within the Salesforce team and mentoring junior team members.
The candidate will evaluate, recommend, implement, and manage Salesforce features and third-party tools.
Overseeing the team's user support function and helping resolve escalated cases is part of the job.
The candidate will contribute to the continuous improvement of Salesforce architecture and development processes.
The role also involves leading Salesforce-adjacent projects from inception to completion, defining and managing project scope, and ensuring all stakeholders meet deadlines.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Salesforce administration and development, with a strong background in solution architecture and technical project management.
Requirements:
The candidate must have expert-level knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities and limitations.
Proficiency in Apex and SOQL is required, with experience in Lightning Web Components and Visualforce considered a plus.
A strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and design patterns is necessary.
Experience with DevOps practices in a Salesforce context is required.
Familiarity with agile methodologies and their application in Salesforce projects is essential.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome complex challenges are necessary.
Strong communication skills are required, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
A track record of successful project delivery in complex Salesforce environments is essential.
The candidate should have the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
Salesforce certifications (e.g., System Architect, Application Architect, or developer certifications) are a plus.
Philanthropic and/or nonprofit experience is also a plus.
Benefits:
The compensation for this role ranges from $160,000 to $190,000, including a base salary of $137,000 to $167,000 and an unconditional 401(k) grant of $23,000.
Excellent health insurance is provided, covering 100% of premiums within the U.S. for the employee and eligible dependents, along with an employer-funded Health Reimbursement Arrangement for certain health expenses.
