Description:

  • Open Philanthropy is seeking a Salesforce Solution Architect and Senior Administrator to work remotely on a full-time basis.
  • The role involves designing and building complex Salesforce solutions, demonstrating expert understanding of platform capabilities and limitations.
  • Responsibilities include making informed decisions on solution trade-offs, developing custom solutions using Apex, SOQL, and potentially Lightning Web Components and Visualforce.
  • The candidate will lead requirements-gathering sessions with stakeholders, collaborate with business analysts, and implement DevOps best practices.
  • The position also includes mentoring junior team members, managing Salesforce features and third-party tools, and overseeing user support functions.
  • The candidate will lead Salesforce-adjacent projects, define project scope, allocate engineering capacity, and implement agile methodologies.
  • The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in Salesforce administration and development, with a strong background in solution architecture and technical project management.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must possess expert-level knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities and limitations.
  • Proficiency in Apex and SOQL is required, with experience in Lightning Web Components and Visualforce considered a plus.
  • A strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and design patterns is necessary.
  • Experience with DevOps practices in a Salesforce context is required.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and their application in Salesforce projects is essential.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders are crucial.
  • A track record of successful project delivery in complex Salesforce environments is expected.
  • Candidates should have the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., System Architect, Application Architect, or developer certifications) are a plus.
  • Philanthropic and/or nonprofit experience is also a plus.

Benefits:

  • The compensation for this role ranges from $160,000 to $190,000, including a base salary of $137,000 to $167,000 and an unconditional 401(k) grant of $23,000.
