They are currently seeking a skilled Scala Engineer to join their team.
The ideal candidate will have experience with Cats, FS2, Kafka, and PostgreSQL, along with a strong understanding of functional programming principles.
Hands-on experience with LLMs and knowledge of IM protocols such as XMPP are considered big pluses.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining robust, scalable backend systems in Scala, working with functional programming libraries, building event-driven applications using Kafka, managing relational databases with PostgreSQL, integrating IM protocols for real-time communication, and augmenting the chat product leveraging LLMs.

Requirements:

Proven experience in Scala development is required.
Strong knowledge of functional programming and type systems is necessary.
Familiarity with distributed systems and event streaming is expected.
Experience with PostgreSQL and database schema design is essential.
Bonus qualifications include hands-on experience with XMPP or similar IM protocols and experience with LLMs (Large Language Models).
