Description:
LivePerson is seeking a Software Engineer III (Android Engineer) to join the Web Experiences team in a remote capacity.
The role involves working on a cutting-edge app that will be used by millions of consumers.
The engineer will collaborate in a cross-functional team, including PM, UX, engineering, and science, to transform user stories into prototypes and production code.
Responsibilities include applying UI design principles and best practices for Android, building an app with best engineering practices, and identifying and eliminating performance and scale issues.

Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent professional experience is required.
Candidates must have strong coding skills and the ability to perform in a dynamic, agile, and entrepreneurial environment.
A minimum of 8 years of experience in building complex Android applications using Kotlin or Java is necessary.
Experience in consumer-facing, enterprise, or big brand app development is required, along with one or two personal projects or significant open source contributions.
Deep knowledge and understanding of client-side architecture and experience in building large-scale applications are essential.
Candidates should have experience identifying potential performance bottlenecks in applications and implementing improvements.
Experience with test automation frameworks, designing APIs, and working with RESTful, Websocket, SSE, and long polling is required.
Multi-threaded programming experience and familiarity with MVC/MVVM are necessary.
Experience or understanding of server-side development is a plus, as is experience in React Native, Flutter, or NativeScript.
