Description:

  • LivePerson is seeking a Software Engineer III (Android Engineer) to join the Web Experiences team in a remote capacity.
  • The role involves working on a cutting-edge app that will be used by millions of consumers.
  • The engineer will collaborate in a cross-functional team, including PM, UX, engineering, and science, to transform user stories into prototypes and production code.
  • Responsibilities include applying UI design principles and best practices for Android, building an app with best engineering practices, and identifying and eliminating performance and scale issues.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent professional experience is required.
  • Candidates must have strong coding skills and the ability to perform in a dynamic, agile, and entrepreneurial environment.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in building complex Android applications using Kotlin or Java is necessary.
  • Experience in consumer-facing, enterprise, or big brand app development is required, along with one or two personal projects or significant open source contributions.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of client-side architecture and experience in building large-scale applications are essential.
  • Candidates should have experience identifying potential performance bottlenecks in applications and implementing improvements.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks, designing APIs, and working with RESTful, Websocket, SSE, and long polling is required.
  • Multi-threaded programming experience and familiarity with MVC/MVVM are necessary.
  • Experience or understanding of server-side development is a plus, as is experience in React Native, Flutter, or NativeScript.
