Description:
The System Administrator will be the primary administrator and security agent for the company's system and telecommunications.
This role involves maintaining upgrades, performing maintenance, and handling installations needed for employees.
The System Administrator will educate employees and serve as the first point of contact for technical support within the business.
Responsibilities include monitoring user accounts for least privileges, creating new accounts, and removing old accounts across various platforms including Linux, AWS IAM, VOIP, and Email.
The role requires architecting, designing, implementing, and deploying technical security controls to address security issues and enable new business opportunities.
The System Administrator will research and evaluate new security technologies to fill gaps in existing security services.
Enhancing the security team's capabilities by planning solution delivery, answering technical questions, and mentoring team members is also a key responsibility.
The position involves planning security systems by evaluating network and security technologies and determining security requirements through analyses and risk assessments.
Implementing security systems, specifying intrusion detection methodologies, and preparing preventive measures are essential tasks.
The role may include providing leadership and mentoring in areas of expertise to peers and management.
Supporting compliance with required standards and developing risk-based mitigation strategies for various systems is expected.
The System Administrator will create and maintain vulnerability management policies and procedures, and design security automation where possible.

Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in technology or computer science is required for this position.
Competency in Bash scripting is necessary.
The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure.
Clear written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Experience with industry-leading vulnerability scanners and the ability to interpret their outputs is required.
Familiarity with the Common Vulnerability Scoring methodology for assessing vulnerability criticality is needed.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team is crucial.
A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in IAAS and PAAS on a global scale is required.
Strong experience with cloud virtualization technologies, specifically Docker and AWS, is necessary.
Familiarity with the AWS shared responsibility model from a security perspective is required.
Strong time management skills are essential for this role.
Prior technical support experience is necessary.
A strong knowledge of operating systems, equipment, technology, and performance-monitoring tools is required.
Specific skills in Linux Administration, AWS, Debian, Nagios or Icinga, DNS, HAProxy, Nginx, and FreePBX are preferred.
