Description:
Pryon is seeking a Security Architect to join their engineering team focused on software and platform security.
The role involves owning the technical security posture of cloud-portable, highly scalable products for enterprise NLP/LLM applications.
Responsibilities include building and managing processes for delivering secure products and hardening platforms.
The Security Architect will drive best practices and collaborate with engineering teams to implement them.
The position requires auditing and reporting on all areas of security within the engineering organization.
Key tasks include architecting solutions with strong security patterns, performing security architecture reviews, and conducting ongoing security testing and code reviews.
The role also involves monitoring and responding to security incidents, building mechanisms for auditing security compliance, and supporting federal security requirements.
The Security Architect will prepare and maintain technical security documentation and provide consulting on secure coding practices.
Staying informed about new tools and trends in the industry is essential.
The position requires collaboration with the Director of Information Security and Executive leadership to align security goals with organizational objectives.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 10+ years of experience in application security.
A deep understanding of security principles and best practices across various domains is required, including network security, application security, identity and access management, data protection, and threat intelligence.
Expertise in cloud security architectures, particularly with major cloud providers like GCP and AWS, is essential.
An excellent understanding of security research and development is necessary.
Working knowledge of security and compliance standards such as SOC-2, NIST, and GDPR is required.
A BS degree in Computer Science or a related area is mandatory.
Candidates must possess the ability to communicate effectively with senior-level executives.
Excellent project management skills are required.
A bias for execution and a proven track record of timely and impactful deliveries is essential.
