Remote Security Architect (IASAE II) / Cybersecurity Architect

Description:

• Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking a seasoned Cybersecurity Architect for a potential opportunity supporting their DOD customer.
• This role involves securing complex systems, conducting risk assessments, designing secure system architectures, and ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies and frameworks.
• The position is remote and requires a proactive, independent leader with deep experience in systems security engineering and architecture.
• Key responsibilities include designing and implementing secure enterprise architectures aligned with DoD RMF and NIST standards, developing architecture artifacts to support system development life cycles, leading the development and assessment of cybersecurity strategies, ensuring system compliance with IASAE Level II frameworks, conducting security assessments, and serving as the cybersecurity SME.
• The role also involves authoring and maintaining key security documentation and providing regular security status reports.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 10+ years of information technology experience.
• A minimum of 8+ years in technical engineering, including requirement analysis, systems/network administration, cybersecurity, and systems engineering is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field from an accredited institution is necessary.
• Candidates must possess an IASAE Level II Certification, such as CASP+ CE, CISSP, or CSSLP.
• An active Secret Clearance is required for consideration.
