Remote Security Automation Engineer

Description:

• Celonis is seeking a Security Automation Engineer to join their Security Engineering Organization in Madrid, Spain.
• The role involves working directly with the cloud platform to engineer the next generation platform infrastructure stack.
• Responsibilities include improving the security posture of Celonis’s Platform Infrastructure, designing and deploying automation at scale, and enhancing monitoring and alerting systems.
• The engineer will identify areas for cloud security improvement and collaborate with the infrastructure team as a subject matter expert on Infrastructure & Cloud Security.
• The position requires collaboration with Security and Engineering teams to incorporate strong security controls and mitigate risks and vulnerabilities.
• The engineer will also implement technical prototypes to understand new technologies and manage risks for active development projects.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Cyber Security, Computer or Electrical Engineering, or a similar field is required, along with 2+ years of experience in security.
• Candidates must have 2+ years of software development and/or security engineering experience.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools like Terraform is necessary.
• A solid understanding of building and operating secure systems at scale is required.
• Experience with multi-cloud environments, container deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and orchestration with Kubernetes is essential.
• Significant technical exposure to AWS, GCP, and Azure services and security controls is needed.
