Description:

  • The Security Engineer will be responsible for implementing, managing, and enhancing security measures across applications, products, and services.
  • The role involves collaborating with developers and engineering teams to identify and mitigate security risks effectively.
  • Responsibilities include maintaining application security processes, conducting security assessments, monitoring security events, and enforcing security policies.
  • Candidates must reside in the United States or Canada.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Security Engineer or in a similar role, demonstrating hands-on experience in executing an established security program is required.
  • Strong knowledge of security protocols, cryptography, and common security technologies is essential.
  • The ability to automate security tasks and integrate with various CI/CD tooling and processes is necessary.
  • Experience with one or more scripting languages and the ability to read basic scripts (Python, C#, PowerShell, Bash, etc.) is required.
  • Comfort with writing pipelines for automation tasks (Jenkins, AzDO, GitLab, GitHub) is expected.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform) and experience in securely deploying cloud workloads in AWS or Azure is important.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and address security vulnerabilities effectively are needed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders are required.
  • A degree or diploma in a relevant field or equivalent work experience is necessary.
