Description:
CaptivateIQ is seeking a Security Engineer to join their Cybersecurity Team and enhance the security of their infrastructure, applications, and services.
The role involves applying technical expertise in engineering, application security, and incident response to improve the company's security posture.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable security controls, collaborating with engineering teams, and conducting security reviews and threat modeling exercises.
The Security Engineer will also lead incident response activities, conduct internal security reviews, and support compliance initiatives.
This position requires a collaborative mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to address security challenges across various attack surfaces.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent practical experience is required.
Candidates must have 6+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, with expertise in security engineering, application security, secure development, or security operations.
A deep understanding of web architectures and modern frameworks such as Django, Node.js, and React is essential.
Expert-level scripting and automation skills in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell are necessary for workflow automation and log analysis.
Proficiency in log analysis, SIEM usage/configuration, and threat hunting is required.
Familiarity with static and dynamic analysis techniques and vulnerability mitigation is important.
A strong understanding of modern cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and cloud-native security practices is needed.
Experience in conducting penetration tests, vulnerability assessments, and network scans is expected.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential for guiding developers and engaging stakeholders.
