Description:

Sword Health is seeking a Security Engineer to safeguard applications and cloud infrastructure.
The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to ensure compliance with HIPAA and GDPR.
Responsibilities include monitoring applications for security threats, responding to breaches, performing root cause analyses, and prioritizing remediation of vulnerabilities.
The Security Engineer will collaborate with the development team to integrate security into the software development lifecycle and manage preventative security measures.
The position requires staying updated on security threats and trends and providing guidance on risk mitigation.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
Candidates must have 3+ years of hands-on experience in Application Security.
A strong understanding of Application Security concepts, including secure coding practices and vulnerability management, is essential.
Hands-on experience with Application Security tools such as Snyk, Burp Suite, and DefectDojo is necessary.
Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash is required.
Experience with Application Security testing tools, including SAST, DAST, and penetration testing, is needed.
Knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as NIST, CIS, and COBIT is important.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with problem-solving abilities, are essential.
Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, is required.
