Description:

Acquia empowers brands to create impactful digital customer experiences using open source Drupal at its core.
The position is for a Security Engineer who will work remotely from Costa Rica.
The role involves finding security flaws in custom application code and thinking like an attacker to misuse and break cloud services.
The Security Engineer will enhance the security of large sites and brands powered by Acquia's PaaS platform and SaaS services on AWS EC2 instances.
Responsibilities include being a Security Champion in an agile Security Engineering team, researching and testing cloud hosting architectures, and debugging complex distributed systems production issues.

Requirements:

Candidates should have 2-6 years of related experience in security engineering.
Experience in cloud security and compliance using AWS, including knowledge of Firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, DDoS prevention, and compliance standards like PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and FedRAMP is required.
A strong software development background in any general programming language is necessary.
Understanding of Kubernetes is essential.
A passion for website delivery architecture and deep knowledge of the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL) is required.
Experience with Linux packages (Debian or RPM) and familiarity with RHEL and Ubuntu is needed.
Networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, Routing, DNS, load balancing, HTTP caching, and VPN, is important.
Candidates must possess excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
A BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.
The ability to work effectively across multiple teams and drive results is essential.
