Description:

Sword Health is seeking a Security Engineer to safeguard its cloud infrastructure and applications.
The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures for cloud-based infrastructure across GCP and AWS, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and GDPR.
Responsibilities include monitoring cloud environments for security threats, responding to breaches, performing root cause analyses, and collaborating with teams to enhance security through automation and scripting.
The engineer will manage vulnerabilities, develop cloud security practices, and monitor security logs to detect incidents.
Staying updated on security threats and integrating security tools for continuous monitoring is also part of the job.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
Candidates must have 3+ years of hands-on experience in Cloud Security.
A strong understanding of Cloud Security concepts, including DevSecOps practices, IAM, network security, encryption, and secure configurations is essential.
Hands-on experience with Cloud Security tools such as Google Security Command Center, Wiz, AWS Security Hub, and SIEM platforms is necessary.
Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and Bash is required.
Experience with Cloud Security monitoring tools, configuration management, vulnerability scanning, and cloud workload protection platforms is needed.
Knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as NIST, CIS, and COBIT is important.
Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving skills, and proficiency in English are required.
