Remote Security Engineer (Contract)

Description:

• The Security Engineer will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and managing Elastic Defend and Elastic SIEM solutions to monitor and protect the company's infrastructure.
• They will lead incident response efforts, develop playbooks and runbooks, and manage vulnerability remediation efforts.
• The role involves implementing and managing security best practices in the AWS environment, conducting security assessments of applications, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Detailed documentation of security incidents, configurations, and procedures will be maintained.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a security engineering role.
• Expertise in Elastic Defend and Elastic SIEM deployments and management.
• Proficiency in deploying, operationalizing, and managing security solutions in a remote-first organization with a cloud tech stack for providing SaaS.
• Experience in AWS security, including securing EC2, S3, Lambda, EKS, and using security stack components like WAF, Inspector, Security Hub, GuardDuty.
• Familiarity with security overlay solutions like EDR, SIEM, CNAPP/CSPM, DSPM, DLP, IDS/IPS.
• Knowledge of Google Workspace, Apple, Windows, MDM, and Secure Email Gateway.
• Strong expertise in incident management and response, threat and vulnerability management, and application security.
• Ability to educate an engineering audience about technical application security vulnerabilities.
