Description:
The Security Engineer role at Qodea involves working with customers to actively remediate security findings and manage the security backlog.
Responsibilities include handling security alerts/incidents escalated by SecOps Analysts/Specialists, performing DFIR assignments, and contributing to threat hunting duties.
The position also involves collecting and sharing threat intelligence, contributing to detection engineering, and incident response on-call service.
The Security Engineer will be responsible for implementing improvements in security practices and procedures.
Requirements:
Security Engineering experience with a DevOps mindset is required.
Extensive experience in cloud security operations, particularly in GCP, AWS, or Azure for enterprise customers.
Hands-on experience in security incident handling and working with customers for remediation.
Knowledge of modern platform architectural patterns, automation, and IaC using Terraform is preferred.
Experience in threat and vulnerability management, as well as validating controls and provisioning guardrails.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple teams.
Strong communication skills to interact with customers and manage escalations.
