Description:

Figma is seeking a Security Engineer to enhance the security of its product, platform, and IT systems.
The Security team aims to help Figmates deliver the most secure product to users.
The role involves identifying and driving impactful security projects and collaborating with various teams.
Responsibilities include performing technical security assessments, code audits, and design reviews.
The engineer will develop solutions to mitigate security vulnerabilities and advocate for secure practices throughout the company.
The position also involves conducting assessments to identify attack vectors and managing pen-testing and bug bounty programs.
This is a full-time role that can be performed remotely within the United States or from one of Figma's US hubs.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 6+ years of proven experience working in a Security team.
A good understanding of at least two of the following areas is required: Linux/Unix/Mac systems security, AWS security, Cloud SaaS Security, and web application security.
Proficiency in at least one general-purpose coding language is necessary.
Demonstrated experience in engineering security-based tooling and/or software is required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, with a proven ability to collaborate across functions.
While not mandatory, experience in making prioritization decisions in security controls and a background in software engineering are considered a plus.

The annual base salary range for this role in the San Francisco or New York hub is $149,000 - $350,000 USD, with compensation based on qualifications and location.
