Description:
Futurae is seeking a Security Engineer (DevSecOps) to ensure the security of their platforms and products.
The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement security best practices and conduct security assessments.
Responsibilities include performing security reviews of designs and source code, researching and reproducing vulnerabilities, designing secure protocols and systems, and writing tests and fuzzers.
The Security Engineer will review and develop secure operational practices and provide security guidance for engineers throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
The position requires looking for vulnerabilities using techniques such as Reverse Engineering, Fuzzing, and Static Analysis.
The engineer will monitor security events and incidents and respond to security breaches.
Staying up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies is essential.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience with security assessments, security design reviews, or threat modeling.
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in security engineering, DevSecOps, computer and network security, PKI, and security protocols is necessary.
Candidates should have 5+ years of coding experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages.
A strong understanding of security principles, encryption, and secure coding practices is required.
Fluency in English is mandatory.
Nice-to-have skills include experience in security research, vulnerability investigation, or incident response, familiarity with cloud security and securing cloud infrastructure (e.g., GCP, AWS), experience as an Ethical Hacker, and knowledge of security compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, ISAE 3402/SOC).
Fluency in German or other languages is a plus.
