Description:

  • Jobgether is seeking a Security Engineer (DevSecOps) to work remotely in the United States.
  • This role involves leading and enhancing the security of cloud-native infrastructure in a fast-paced environment.
  • The Security Engineer will collaborate with engineering teams to embed security throughout the development and deployment processes.
  • Key responsibilities include securing Kubernetes clusters and AWS environments, strengthening CI/CD pipelines, and automating compliance and governance.
  • The ideal candidate should be proactive, collaborative, and possess a strong technical foundation in cloud security.
  • The role emphasizes enabling innovation while maintaining high security standards.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience deploying and managing security solutions in AWS and Kubernetes environments.
  • At least 2 years of experience working on or securing web applications is required.
  • Proficiency in integrating security tools into CI/CD workflows, such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI, is necessary.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud security platforms like Wiz, CrowdStrike, or Orca is essential.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform is required.
  • A solid understanding of OWASP Top 10, cloud security benchmarks (e.g., CIS), and agile methodologies is expected.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, along with a proactive, problem-solving mindset, are essential.
  • Bonus qualifications include certifications such as AWS Security, CISSP, CKA/CKS, or experience with Google Cloud.
