Remote Security Engineer

Description:

• Our client is a hybrid trading exchange, merging CeFi and DeFi for a seamless trading experience.
• They are looking for a Security Engineer to strengthen the platform’s security, safeguard smart contracts, and ensure the integrity of the backend infrastructure.
• This role is critical in mitigating risks, securing protocol releases, and proactively identifying vulnerabilities.
• Responsibilities include developing and implementing the platform’s security and resilience strategy.
• The Security Engineer will ensure the security of IT infrastructure, prevent and respond to cyber incidents.
• The role involves implementing and maintaining security monitoring and protection systems (SIEM, IDS/IPS, WAF, etc.).
• The engineer will analyze vulnerabilities, assess risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Maintaining and updating IT security documentation is also a key responsibility.
• Collaboration with developers, DevOps, and technical teams to integrate security best practices is essential.
• The engineer will evaluate and test new solutions, analyze vendors and tools, and build and manage the security team.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in information security or IT security.
• Experience managing projects and technical teams is required.
• A strong understanding of IT infrastructure security principles is necessary.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and incident response systems is essential.
• Candidates should have experience in developing and maintaining security documentation.
• Knowledge of relevant security regulations and standards is required.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies is necessary.
• A relevant technical or security-related degree is required.
• Nice to have: Experience in fintech or high-load systems.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Security certifications (CISSP, CISM, OSCP, etc.) are desirable.
• Experience building security teams and implementing DevSecOps practices is a plus.
