Description:

Certn is seeking an Intermediate Security Engineer to enhance security measures and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
The role involves developing, maintaining, and enforcing security policies, standards, and procedures to reduce risks and support organizational growth.
Responsibilities include conducting proactive risk assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending mitigation strategies to safeguard critical assets.
The engineer will ensure compliance with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 standards by implementing robust security controls and supporting audits.
The position requires responding to security incidents and vulnerabilities in real-time to minimize damage and ensure business continuity.
The engineer will track, document, and report security metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations to leadership.
The role includes securing multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and collaborating with IT teams to implement cutting-edge security measures.
The engineer will foster a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement across the organization to minimize risks.

Requirements:

Candidates must have post-secondary education in computer science or a related field.
Familiarity with incident handling, SIEM tools, EDR, and cloud security is required.
Experience with firewalls, vulnerability management, and penetration testing is necessary.
Knowledge of SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other security frameworks is essential.
Hands-on experience securing multi-cloud environments and automating security tasks is expected.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell, as well as analyzing system logs, is required.
Experience with advanced tools like Metasploit and vulnerability scanning is necessary.
