Description:
Parity is seeking a Security Engineer to join their AppSec team, which is crucial in securing the ecosystem and products against cyber threats.
The role involves recognizing and reducing risks, influencing stakeholders, and ensuring the security of various products including blockchain clients, mobile apps, and browser-based tools.

Requirements:
Candidates must have strong knowledge of secure coding practices.
A risk-based approach and pragmatism are essential to enhance security in collaboration with stakeholders.
Familiarity with security frameworks and approaches such as SAST, DAST, fuzzing, property-based testing, symbolic execution, and network simulation is required.
Experience in threat modeling, red/blue teaming, and working with independent security teams to implement findings is necessary.
Candidates should possess advanced skills in analyzing and mitigating cyber security threats.
Understanding of web3 application architecture, including cryptography, decentralized networking, and blockchain consensus, is preferred.
Proficiency with security tools and technologies, as well as the ability to create custom tools, is required.
Proficiency in multiple programming languages, ideally Rust and TypeScript, is necessary.
A focus on outcomes rather than activities, with the ability to deliver results with minimal daily interference, is essential.
Ideally, candidates should live within 2 hours of UTC+0, but exceptional candidates outside this timezone will also be considered.
