Description:
Porter is hiring a Security Engineer to join their team in Charleston, SC.
The company is dedicated to providing transparency throughout the healthcare continuum by combining healthcare analytics with compassion and trust.
The role involves providing technical expertise in securing the development and deployment of SaaS and Cloud platforms, as well as web and mobile applications.
Responsibilities include detecting, investigating, and responding to security incidents across all systems and networks.
The Security Engineer will coordinate recovery and remediation efforts with internal and external stakeholders.
The position requires implementing and maintaining security scanning and monitoring systems to ensure compliance with government and industry standards.
The engineer will work with DevOps and SRE teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.
Enhancing detection and response capabilities while creating efficient integrations between internal tools is a key responsibility.
The role involves writing scripts in Python or PowerShell to automate tasks and conduct incident responses.
The engineer will write and refine playbooks, run books, alerts, and documentation.
Defining and establishing security guidelines is part of the job.
The Security Engineer will coordinate with vendors to perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
Developing Security Dashboards and Quarterly Security reports is expected.
The engineer will collaborate with project managers to ensure business and development needs are met.
Requirements:
Candidates must have four or more years of Security Operations or Incident Response experience.
A minimum of two years of production experience working with AWS is required.
Candidates should have at least two years of experience implementing SIEM systems.
A minimum of two years of experience implementing endpoint security tools is necessary.
Experience in implementing Identity and Access Management systems with Role-Based Access Control is required, with OAUTH experience preferred.
Hands-on experience in developing build scripts that automate code quality scans, security scans, and dependency management using DevSecOps tools is essential.
The ability to script in Python, bash, or PowerShell is required.
Experience in implementing security and privacy controls compliant with HIPAA/HITRUST is a plus.
