Remote Security Engineer

• The candidate is expected to have strong experience with all standard security technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEMs), security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and cloud security.
• Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining security infrastructure, conducting security assessments, developing and enforcing security policies, monitoring networks for breaches, collaborating with teams to integrate security, managing IAM solutions, automating security processes, providing security training, staying updated on security threats, participating in incident response, and managing third-party security audits.

Requirements:

• Must have a total of 5+ years of IT experience, with 3+ years in cybersecurity or a related field.
• Extensive experience with security technologies, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint protection, and encryption is required.
• Deep knowledge of cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience securing cloud environments is essential.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols and architectures, including TCP/IP, DNS, and VPNs is necessary.
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automating security tasks is required.
• Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and GDPR is needed.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines, container security, and IaC is important.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think like an attacker to anticipate and counteract threats are essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences are required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously is necessary.
