Description:

Wealthfront is seeking a security-minded engineer to join their Security Engineering team.
The role can be performed remotely within the U.S. or based in Palo Alto, CA.
Responsibilities include configuring, tuning, and automating security tools for integration into core workflows.
The engineer will partner with DevOps, IT, Infra, and Software engineers to embed security best practices into tools, coding practices, and processes.
The role involves defining and promoting security policies across the organization and educating both technical and non-technical colleagues on security practices.
Staying updated on the latest security threats and advocating for proactive solutions is essential.
The engineer will assess and troubleshoot security threats, develop tools to prevent recurrence, and conduct security incident responses while writing security response playbooks.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 4+ years of experience in Software, Site Reliability, or Security Engineering.
Experience in building or using tools for security and audit automation is required.
The candidate should be comfortable coordinating security responses to CVEs and reported findings.
The ability to detail risks and mitigation strategies to leadership across the company is necessary.
A solid understanding of AWS IAM, CloudTrail auditing tools, and cross/multi-account policy enforcement and anomaly detection tools is essential.

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $140,000 - $160,000 USD, plus equity and a discretionary bonus.
