Remote Security Engineer (Governance, Risk, and Compliance)

Description:

• The Security Engineer will work remotely for 1Password, a company dedicated to providing secure access to important information for businesses and individuals.
• The role involves collaborating with various teams to establish and enhance Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) programs.
• Responsibilities include analyzing data and programs for security risk, compliance, and maturity, as well as contributing to audits and security assurance initiatives.
• The Security Engineer will assist in defining and implementing a risk management program involving multiple stakeholders.
• The position requires effective communication skills to explain technical security concepts to non-technical audiences and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
• The Security Engineer will engage with cross-functional teams to develop strategic approaches to GRC programs and processes.
• Additionally, the role involves preparing for internal and external audits, communicating compliance positions to auditors and customers, and establishing security guidelines for the organization.

Requirements:

• Experience in security, Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), risk management, or related fields.
• Proficiency in analyzing data and programs for security risk, compliance, and maturity.
• Ability to communicate technical security concepts to non-technical audiences effectively.
• Strong collaborative and teamwork skills.
• Capability to assess and mitigate corporate risk within an organization.
• Sophisticated program and project management abilities.
• Willingness to adapt and work on various tasks as needed.
