Description:

  • Trail of Bits is seeking a Security Engineer I, Blockchain to join their team focused on blockchain security.
  • The role involves reviewing blockchain code and smart contracts for security vulnerabilities and providing strategic advice to clients to enhance their software's robustness.
  • Engineers will have the opportunity to build and experiment with new tools, contributing to the development of custom tools like Slither, Echidna, and Medusa.
  • Responsibilities include conducting code reviews, solving complex engineering problems, maintaining and improving existing blockchain security tools, and pushing the boundaries of blockchain security through research and innovation.
  • The position requires leveraging Solidity experience to review off-chain code and smart contracts, and contributing to the advancement of blockchain security practices.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have extensive experience as a blockchain security engineer, with a deep understanding of Solidity security and the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).
  • Proficiency in Solidity is required, with multiple years of experience identifying and reporting vulnerabilities such as reentrancy and integer overflows/underflows.
  • Experience with at least one alternative blockchain platform (e.g., Cosmos, Starknet, Substrate, Solana) and reviewing off-chain components is necessary.
  • Candidates should have proficiency in automated testing, including experience with fuzzers, CodeQL, or Semgrep.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for engaging with customers and delivering technical presentations.
