Description:
Trail of Bits is seeking a Security Engineer I, Blockchain to join their team focused on blockchain security.
The role involves reviewing blockchain code and smart contracts for security vulnerabilities and providing strategic advice to clients to enhance their software's robustness.
Engineers will have the opportunity to build and experiment with new tools, contributing to the development of custom tools like Slither, Echidna, and Medusa.
Responsibilities include conducting code reviews, solving complex engineering problems, maintaining and improving existing blockchain security tools, and pushing the boundaries of blockchain security through research and innovation.
The position requires leveraging Solidity experience to review off-chain code and smart contracts, and contributing to the advancement of blockchain security practices.
Requirements:
Candidates must have extensive experience as a blockchain security engineer, with a deep understanding of Solidity security and the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).
Proficiency in Solidity is required, with multiple years of experience identifying and reporting vulnerabilities such as reentrancy and integer overflows/underflows.
Experience with at least one alternative blockchain platform (e.g., Cosmos, Starknet, Substrate, Solana) and reviewing off-chain components is necessary.
Candidates should have proficiency in automated testing, including experience with fuzzers, CodeQL, or Semgrep.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for engaging with customers and delivering technical presentations.
