Remote Security Engineer II

Description:

• fabric is seeking a Security Engineer II to join their team in California, New York, Massachusetts, Washington state, or Texas.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for application security in the retail/ecommerce industry and will work on key projects within the security space.
• Responsibilities include working independently and as part of a team, threat modeling, communicating security deficiencies to developers, designing and maintaining security tools, developing security metrics, conducting security reviews, enhancing access controls, collaborating with IT and development teams, automating security controls, monitoring security risks, educating employees on security awareness, and supporting compliance programs.
• The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of security engineering experience, 2+ years of AWS experience, knowledge of scripting languages, familiarity with OWASP and NIST security standards, experience with DevSecOps and CI/CD processes, and the ability to establish and report metrics to measure the effectiveness of Security Engineering.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of prior experience in security engineering/applications security.
• 2+ years of experience with AWS.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with OWASP and NIST security standards and frameworks.
• Experience within DevSecOps, CI/CD processes, SDLC, and related tools.
• Ability to establish and report metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of Security Engineering.
